UFC 265 is happening this Saturday, August 7, 2021 at The Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. And it will have audience in attendance (you can still get tickets at Ticketmaster.
In the main event of UFC 265, you’ll see Derrick Lewis vs Cyril Gane in an heavyweight interim title bout. It’s a bit of a strange bout. This comes after the UFC struggled to match pay demends for the current heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou and his potential challenger Jon Jones, we get Lewis vs Gane. Basically, the UFC is sending a message here that the heavyweight division will move on with or without you.
UFC 265 Main Event Preview
The main event is still a compelling fight, though it is going to be tough to follow up on Connor McGregor’s fight from last month. Derrick Lewis is one of the most recognizable stars in the UFC right now. And Cyril Gane is the most technical striker in the UFC’s heavyweight division. So it’s still going to be a rather impressive fight to watch.
The main card will also see a fight Jose Aldo and Pedro Munhoz in a Bantamweight bout. This comes after Amanda Nunes tested positive for COVID-19 and her bout was scrapped. That would have been a great contender for Main Event too.
What time does UFC 265 start?
UFC 265 has the same start times as usual.
The early prelims start at 6:15PM ET, with the prelims starting at 8PM ET. And the main card starting at 10PM ET.
The early prelims and prelims are not part of the PPV. You’ll be able to watch those on ESPN+ without buying the PPV. While the prelims will also be available on regular ESPN.

How do I watch UFC 265?
UFC 265 will be available exclusively on ESPN+. You’ll need to be an ESPN+ subscriber, and you also need to purchase the PPV. Otherwise, you’ll only be able to watch the early prelims.
ESPN+ has raised the price on the PPV, and the UFC 265 PPV will be the first one with this new price. It’ll cost you $69.99 if you are a ESPN+ subscriber.
