The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is coming, and its price just leaked, following its color options which we’ve talked about recently. The good news is, the device will be more affordable than the Galaxy S20 FE, it seems.
According to a report from Korea’s Herald Corp, the phone will cost between 700,000 and 800,000 won. When we convert that to dollars, you get a price tag between $630 and $720.
The leaked price indicates that the Galaxy S21 FE will be more affordable than its predecessor
Now, the Galaxy S20 FE first launched with a price tag of 899,800 won ($810) in Korea. In the US, the phone’s price was $699 at launch. Based on this information, the device will be more affordable in both markets… and likely in all markets, in comparison to the Galaxy S20 FE.
This was expected, kind of, considering the pricing strategy with the Galaxy S21 series. The Galaxy S20 FE was the affordable flagship, at least it was described that way by many, and the Galaxy S21 FE will fall into that category as well.
Consumers who found the Galaxy S21 FE series too expensive, and still want to get access to the most powerful SoC, well, this will be the phone for them. The Galaxy S21 FE will cut some corners, but not the important ones.
The Galaxy S21 FE will reportedly be positioned as a replacement to the Galaxy Note series. It won’t exactly be a direct replacement, as it won’t support the S Pen stylus, but that’s the information that surfaced recently.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is better suited to replace the Galaxy Note series this year. That handset will support the S Pen stylus, and allegedly even ship with one. It will be a foldable phone, though, and it won’t have a stylus dock built-in.
The Galaxy S21 FE is expected to arrive in August, alongside several other devices
The Galaxy S21 FE will, allegedly, launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3, Watch 4, and Watch Active 4 in August. We still don’t know if this information is accurate, nor do we know the exact launch date, but there you have it.
