Shopee Customers Won’t Be Able To Choose Courier Services From 17th June Onwards

One of the reasons why shoppers prefer Shopee is the option to choose their preferred courier service when checking out.

However, it’s been reported that said option will no longer be available to Shopee customers starting from 17th June onwards. Instead, customers will be given the following 3 options – “Standard Delivery”, “Economy Delivery” and “Others”.

According to the e-commerce platform, this change is to improve logistic efficiency so that merchants can optimise their deliveries and also to minimise late shipments. Of course, many weren’t too thrilled at this announcement. “They should not remove that options as customers pay for it. Customers should get the best courier they want,” Facebook user Wan Wan commented.

As you can see from the image above, the standard delivery will be carried out by PosLaju, DHL, J&T Express, Ninja Van, City Link, TheLorry.com, or its own Shopee Express. The online buying site is also hoping more merchants will start relying on the more affordable Shopee Express option instead of other delivery services.

As many pointed out, the best option is still free shipping, no?
