EPOS makes some pretty premium audio products for gaming, and now it’s venturing into streaming with the B20 Streaming Microphone. Like all of its other products, the B20 streaming microphone from EPOS caters to gamers. However it’ll work just fine for anyone streaming any sort of content.
Hailed as a “studio-quality” microphone, EPOS says that it’ll deliver vocal clarity without sacrificing other important elements. Like the warmth of deep bass and treble tones. The end result is supposed to be a rich vocal sound that comes through. And best of all is that it’s compatible with multiple platforms.
This bodes well for a large majority of streamers. Given the popularity of the activity and the number of platforms which people do it from.
The EPOS B20 Streaming Microphone works with PC, PS4, and Mac
EPOS says this mic will work with PC, PS4, and Mac. While it doesn’t mention PS5, there’s no reason why it shouldn’t work with Sony’s newest console.
The microphone is a little pricey though. So that’s something to keep in mind if you’re in the market for this particular piece of hardware. It will retail for $199 in the US, which is about on par with some of the other premium audio products that EPOS offers.
Though if your budget doesn’t include a microphone at these prices, you can certainly find a good one for less money. That being said, if you can afford it you’ll be getting something that’s likely better than most of its direct competition.
It features a customizable setup that adapts to you
Whether you play and stream your game time solo or with friends, with a boom arm or without, the B20 seems ready to handle whatever you throw at it.
EPOS designed this mic with a high-quality aluminum shell that’s lightweight. Which gives it a sleek look. It’s also versatile, coming with a desk stand in the box if you don’t have or prefer not to use a boom arm for the setup.
It also supports four different pickup patterns for your vocals. Including cardioid, omnidirectional, stereo, and bidirectional. It even features built-in voice monitoring. All you have to do is plug a headset into the 3.5mm audio jack so you can hear yourself while you talk. And make sure you sound perfect for your viewers.
There’s a few other nifty features too, such as LED indicators and integrated audio controls. The EPOS B20 Streaming Microphone is available for purchase from today from retailers like Amazon and on the EPOS website. Though Amazon says it won’t be in stock until June 7.
