Further Galaxy Note 5 Case Renders Hint at Galaxy S6 Design

The Galaxy S and Galaxy Note line of devices have been the two engines driving Samsung’s mobile agenda for years now, and with that comes a similar design language and feature-set shared between the two. Of course, the Galaxy Note line of devices are known for their larger displays, more powerful processors and are generally more geared towards users that want to do more with their smartphones, and expect more from them. We’ve seen Samsung debut a new design language with the good-looking Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge earlier this year, and as you might expect it looks like that design language is going to carry across to the Galaxy Note 5.

Rumors have been swirling around an earlier-than-expected launch of the Galaxy Note 5 (and the Galaxy S6 Edge+) for some time now, and if these recent case renders are anything to go by, Samsung may well be gearing up for an earlier launch. PhoneArena have been passed some case renders from manufacturer Verus, which show a device with a larger design of that found on the Galaxy S6. Verus shared case renders of the Galaxy S6 earlier this year, and they were pretty close to the final design, but as always you should take these with a grain of salt.

The design featured in the below case renders certainly looks a lot different to the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 4 of recent years. Gone is the faux-leather backing, and a more glass and metal structure is here, just as it is with the Galaxy S6. The S-Pen slot can be seen in the renders, and the camera design and placement looks almost identical to that of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. It makes sense that Samsung want to keep a certain design language alive across all of their products, but will users take to such a departure from the last two generations of the Galaxy Note? After all, while the faux-leather wasn’t to everyone’s taste, it was somewhat unique to the Galaxy Note line of devices, and definitely gave the devices a more professional feel. Whether or not these case renders are based off of the real deal remains to be seen, but for now those interested can take a look in the gallery below.
