It is not hard to judge the popularity of a certain video game title. One of the ways to do that is just hop on toYouTube and check out the parody videos that have been inspired by that title. As an example, there are quite a number of Battlefield 3 (BF3) parody videos online and one of the recent one were actually made by the students of National Academy of Arts, Culture & Heritage (ASWARA) which is based in Kuala Lumpur.
While this video might not be up to par as compared to those that are made by well-known YouTube greats such as freddiew (who went on to produce a BF3 live action commercial for EA themselves), we got to say that the outcome is not too shabby and rather acceptable. The fact that it is made by students with zero budget (according to the director) made us feel that these guys are on for something here.
The collective has previously produced a Counter-Strike parody as well as tons of other non-video games related short films which are viewable at their YouTube channel over here.
