When you think of PornHub, the first thing that comes to mind is definitely its plethora of R-rated content, right?
This Taiwanese male educator, however, made global headlines this week for hosting online calculus lectures on the lewd website! The teacher, identified as Changshu, has a verified account on PornHub, under the moniker @changshumath666. The account has over 200 videos that are absolutely free of any sexually explicit content.
Having a Master’s degree in mathematics, Changhsu has been teaching the subject for 15 years, both physical and also online classes. Similar to most teachers out there, the 34-year-old started by uploading videos of his online lessons on his YouTube channel, though he didn’t get that much response as he had hoped for.
“Since very few people teach math on adult video platforms, and since there are so many people who watch videos on them, I thought that if I uploaded my videos there, a lot of people would see them,” Changshu told Mel Magazine (via Odisi). “I didn’t want to teach math on Pornhub. I wanted to let the world know that I’m a teacher from Taiwan who can teach calculus well. Hey, who said math wasn’t sexy?”
Prior to Pornhub, Changshu revealed that he had also attempted to branch out to other adult platforms such as XVideos. But according to him, those sites apparently don’t allow “non-adult clips”. “They know which kinds of videos are for adults and which aren’t, and they forbid them,” he said during the chat.
With over 5,000 followers online, Changshu’s videos has garnered over 1.7 million views on the site so far. It is also worth mentioning that his online course has managed to pull in 7,500,000 New Taiwan dollars (RM1.12 million) per year, which he uses to pay his bills as well as to provide a decent salary to his staff, who assist him to produce the math videos, MMO reported.
