After returning back to the United States last week, Lana Nodin has been relatively active in sharing her daily activities with her loyal fans in Malaysia on her personal Instagram page.
In her most recent update on social media, the 41-year-old celeb uploaded a clip of her family on a retail therapy session at the Tampa Premium Outlets in Florida.
As revealed by Lana herself, the visitors at the shopping centre are given the freedom on whether they want to wear a face mask or not. She wrote, “The (Malay) people say, ‘Hujan emas di negeri orang, hujan batu di negeri sendiri (Despite how bad it is, your own country is better and the best as compared to other countries)’.”
“But I’m very sorry for this quote that all of you gave me. For now, I’ll choose the ‘hujan emas’, because I haven’t been able to go out and shopping for a long time. No discrimination and freedom of choice is important!” the “Rahimah Tanpa Rahim” actress further added in her post.
The posting made by Lana (full name Mazlina Hasan Nodin) also prompted the local netizens to leave their comments. In this case, the comments section was flooded with plenty of Malaysian social media users expressing their concerns as well as dissatisfaction. Among the remarks include:
- “Thank you Lana for for informing everyone on the situation happening there. While here in Malaysia, everything is closed down. I’m saddened seeing people fighting here and there.”
- “Here (in Malaysia), all the kids can’t go out. I feel bad for them because they’ve been confined in the house for so long.”
- “I don’t understand. Almost everything here in Malaysia is banned, even when you want to buy some stuffs. I really cannot fathom the situation. Everything is prohibited, but the number of cases these days remains the same.”
- “Looks fun! Whereas for here, I’m not sure when we all can be free like before.”
How we wish we could turn back time way before the Covid-19 pandemic hit the world. :(
