Lenovo announced its new Yoga Tab tablets as part of MWC 2021, but the company didn’t stop there. Lenovo also announced the Tab M7 (third-gen), M8 (third-gen), and P11 Plus tablets, all of which are budget tablets. That means that the company released a whopping 5 tablets this time around.
The Lenovo Tab M7 and M8 are quite similar in the design department, while the Tab P11 Plus is a bit different. We’ll talk about the M tablets first, and then move to the P11 Plus. The Tab M7 and M8 tablets look almost the same, but they’re different in regards to the size. Their shape is also slightly different.
Lenovo Tab M7
The Lenovo Tab M7 has a single camera on the back, and the same goes for its unit on the front. It does have some bezel around the display, and it seems like it will be fairly easy to grip.
The device features a 7-inch 1024 x 600 LCD display. Android 11 (Go Edition) comes pre-installed on this device, while a 3,750mAh battery is included as well. Fast charging is not supported, it seems.
The device comes with two different SoCs. The WiFi only model is fueled by the MediaTek MT8166, while the WiFi + LTE model comes with the MediaTek MT8766 SoC.
The Lenovo Tab M7 includes 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB of EMCP storage. You can expand its storage via a microSD card.
A 2-megapixel camera with fixed focus sits on both the front and back side of this tablet. The device comes in an Iron Gray color, while it measures 176.18 x 102.28 x 8.3mm. It weighs 236.9 grams.
This device will be priced at $109.99, and it will become available at some point in July.
Lenovo Tab M8
The Lenovo Tab M8 is a bit larger than its sibling, but it’s not exactly more powerful. This tablet features an 8-inch 1280 x 800 IPS display. The device is fueled by the MediaTek Helio P22T SoC.
This tablet comes in 2GB and 3GB RAM (LPDDR4X) variants, with 32GB of expandable storage. A 5,100mAh battery is included in the package, and fast charging is not supported.
A 5-megapixel camera with autofocus sits on the back of the device, while a 2-megapixel camera with fixed focus is included on the front. Android 11 (Go Edition) is included here as well.
The device measures 199.1 x 121.8 x 8.15mm, while it weighs 305 grams. It comes in Iron Gray and Platinum Gray color options. This tablet will become available later this year, though not in the US.
Lenovo Tab P11 Plus
The Lenovo Tab P11 Plus looks a bit more premium in comparison to its siblings. It also comes with a more appealing spec sheet as well.
This tablet features an 11-inch 2000 x 1200 IPS LCD display. This is a 60Hz display, by the way. The device is fueled by the MediaTek Helio G90T. It comes with quad speakers, which are optimized by Dolby Atmos.
The Tab P11 Plus will be available in 4GB and 6GB RAM options. The 6GB RAM model will come with 128GB of storage, while there are two flavors for the 4GB RAM model (64GB and 128GB of storage).
A 7,700mAh battery is included here, while the tablet supports 20W fast wired charging. A 13-megapixel camera sits on the back of the device, while a single 8-megapixel selfie camera is also included. Android 11 comes pre-installed on this device.
This tablet comes in Slate Gray, Platinum Gray, and Modernist Teal color options. It measures 258.4 x 163 x 7.5mm, while it weighs 490 grams. This tablet starts at $259.99, and will go on sale at some point in August.
