The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro has been surfacing quite frequently lately. This smartphone has been benchmarked by GFXBench, certified by Bluetooth SIG, certified in China, and has been imported to India for testing purposes. According to recent reports, the Galaxy A9 Pro is expected to launch in China, and we still don’t know if Samsung intends on making it available outside of that Asian country. The Galaxy A9 Pro, as its name suggests, will be a new variant of the Galaxy A9 handset which has been announced back in December.
That being said, thanks to the device’s GFXBench listing, we already had a pretty good idea of what will its specs look like. Well, a new listing has surfaced, this time around the Galaxy A9 Pro has been benchmarked by AnTuTu. According to AnTuTu, the SM-A9100 aka Galaxy A9 Pro, is said to sport a fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, and will be fueled by the Snapdragon 652 64-bit octa-core processor, along with an Adreno 510 GPU for graphics. The 16-megapixel shooter will be placed on the back of this phone, and the 8-megapixel snapper will be available up front. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on this device, and on top of it, you’ll find Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.
AnTuTu’s listing did not reveal any more details, but according to GFXBench, this handset will sport a 5.5-inch panel up front, and it will quite probably be a Super AMOLED display. 32GB of internal storage will be included in this package, and it remains to be seen if Samsung will include a microSD card slot for memory expansion. The Galaxy A9 Pro will almost certainly going to be made out of metal, and you can also expect it to offer a fingerprint scanner which will be built into the physical home button. So, all in all, this will be a high-end device with a mid-range processor, which essentially makes it a mid-range smartphone. Considering this device has been certified by various sources already, and its benchmark listings just keep on popping up, we do expect Samsung to officially introduce this device in China in the coming weeks, stay tuned.
