Amazon’s Upcoming 20th Birthday to Out-Deal Black Friday

Everyone loves a deal, right? It’s hard to pass up that big ticket item you’ve been wanting when it’s up for grabs at nearly half its usual price, or maybe you’re just more interested in something smaller that has a buy one get one free type special? All these sorts of deals are familiar for customers after Thanksgiving in November, a day better known as Black Friday, and there’s really nothing quite like it at any other time of the year. While that may be true in retail stores across the land Amazon is looking to change that, for this year at least, and hold a big celebration sale on its upcoming 20th birthday on July 15th for Amazon Prime members.

Amazon is saying that they are set to out-deal Black Friday with new deals as soon as every 10 minutes around the clock, and it’s not just for little items that you may not care about either. Amazon is citing that they’ll be putting up deals in every category they sell products in, so that means anything from clothing and food to computers and smartphones. While there’s no specific list of products to be sold just yet Amazon is promising some seriously amazing deals that’ll keep you shopping all day long, so long as you’re an Amazon Prime member of course. This new set of deals on Amazon’s 20th birthday are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to perks Amazon Prime members receive, and it’s all in an effort to keep that spending up versus non-Prime customers.

Amazon Prime members generally spend double what non-Prime customers would, an average of $1,500 a year versus $625 for non-Prime customers. As such Amazon has been responding with more and more perks for members including the new HDR video service included with Prime, the first of its kind in the world. In addition to the free 2-day shipping included with a Prime membership Amazon has been working with the government to get its drone program going in an effort to deliver your packages as fast as possible. If that’s not good enough Amazon is also bringing a new site-to-store service to the table, expanding the already great options for delivery. Those who don’t have a Prime subscription could be eligible for the free 30-day trial that Amazon always runs which would give them access to this big sale too, so don’t fret if you haven’t paid for Prime in the past.
