You Can Purchase The Motorola Keylink Once Again

When we think of wearable devices, we tend to think of smartwatches, mainly because manufacturers have been refining their designs and they offer a lot of features, from color touchscreens to a lot of sensors that measure all kinds of physical activities. Still, technology has made it possible to integrate some sensors or antennas to small objects that we use every day. Motorola has seen this opportunity to make a keychain a little smarter and created the Motorola Keylink. It was launched last November and it was soon sold out, it disappeared for a while, but the company promised that this particular device would make a return, now it’s back for purchase from the company’s site.

The Keylink is meant to make life a little easier to people that are used to losing either their phones or their keys and waste precious time trying to find them, at least as long as the two devices are 100 feet away from each other. It works with the Motorola Connect app and if you press the button on the Keylink, your phone will ring until you find it. On the other hand, if you can’t find your keys, the app will locate the Keylink and show you the location on a map.

Since it works with Bluetooth technology, you can use the Keylink to unlock a variety of phones without having to enter a password as long as you have the device close enough. Any device with Android 5.0 or later will be able to use this feature and devices from the company like the second generation Moto X, Droid Turbo and the Nexus 6 will also be benefited. Its construction makes it splash-proof, so you don’t need to worry about rainy weather and it integrates a standard coin cell replaceable battery that can be bought in your local convenience store and it could last for a full year. The price of the Motorola Keylink is $24.99 in color Black and how much the supplies will last this time is anyone’s guess. It is compatible with Android devices running version 4.3 or more recent versions of the OS as well as with iOS devices.
