Today is the day some consumers have been waiting for, the HTC One M9 is officially launching in retail stores globally in a number of different regions. T-Mobile is one of the carriers that had announced they would be selling this device, and although they already started pre-orders for the HTC One M9 prior to the official launch date, now customers can actually walk into their local T-Mobile and purchase the phone and walk out, provided they have any left in stock. Should there be a high demand from your local T-Mobile store, there’s always the option of ordering it online, which would be the same experience as those who did the pre-order, only now with the phone being officially launched.
As a recap of what’s available when you buy the HTC One M9, it comes equipped with a 5-inch 1080p FHD LCD display, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded with a microSD card if you need more space. It also comes sporting Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box with Sense 7 over the top, a 20MP rear-facing camera and a 4MP UltraPixel front-facing camera, and a 2,840mAh battery to keep it all running throughout the day. Lastly, HTC decided to keep the dual front-facing stereo Boom Sound speakers so if you liked the audio quality on previous model phones it’s present in the One M9 as well.
Now let’s talk prices. If you’re planning on picking this up from T-Mobile, you can get it two ways, either full price, or by putting it on your phone bill and breaking it up in payments as part of the equipment installment plan. Full cost devices will be $649.92, which isn’t bad considering the cost of some other devices, and it’s actually right in line with what the HTC One M8 cost on T-Mobile last year. If you’re wanting to break it up on the EIP plan it’ll be as little as $0 down for well-qualified customers, which ends up at $27.08 a month for 24 months. The phone will come in two different colors from the carrier, Gunmetal Gray, and Silver with the Gold accents.
