Sony Mobile isn’t doing all that well, the company has been having issues turning a profit for quite some time now. The company had to cut costs several times last year and has fired a number of employees as part of the process. This Japan-based tech giant has also said that they’ll focus on manufacturing high-end devices and have even stopped offering their devices in China, which is interesting. That being said, Sony is due to release a new flagship soon, the Xperia Z4. Unlike the majority of OEMs out there, Sony releases two flagship devices per year, and they’ll do the same this year (confirmed by the company).
The company’s current Xperia Z3 device was launched in September 2014, and the rumors are saying that the Xperia Z4 will land in May, though Sony might opt to launch it even sooner than that. As previously mentioned, we’ve already seen quite a few Xperia Z4 leaks, and today we have a new render to share with you. This is actually the clearest look at the device we have thus far, a nice clear render with no watermarking or anything of the sort on top of it. There’s a good reason for that, this image actually comes from Sony Georgia Facebook page, though keep in mind this is NOT Sony’s official webpage. This design actually goes hand-in-hand with the previous leaks, and the source claims this is the real deal. As you can see, the device still has the power / lock button on the left, and volume rockers and camera button seem to be located below it on that very same side of the phone. The device in the image is also running Android Lollipop with Sony’s skin on top of it.
According to various leaks we’ve seen thus far, the Xperia Z4 will sport a 5.1-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 3 or 4GB fo RAM and various storage options. This handset will quite probably be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor and will sport a 20-7-megapixel rear-facing shooter. The device’s build is expected to be similar to a number of previous Sony Xperia Z devices.
