With Disney taking the Star Wars helm new products were inevitable, but this Star Wars journal is still surprisingly cute.
The cover of the journal is designed to mimic Chewbacca’s fur, complete with belt. Kids can use the faux Wookie fur to pretend Chewie is holding all their secrets safe (or, disturbingly, that they skinned a Wookiee, bounty hunter-style). Every time someone opens the journal, it lets out a Wookiee cry. This could get old fast, but parents can always take out the button cell batteries before it drives them to madness.
Inside there are 160 spiral-bound, ruled pages, each marked with a Millennium Falcon watermark for a bit of extra coolness. You can buy the Star Wars journal from the Disney site for $19.95, just in time for the holidays.
It is worth mentioning that, in case the Chewie journal is a little more disturbing than cute on your personal scale, Disney offers Darth Vader and R2-D2 journals, among other others.
