Snapdragon Version Of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Gets Disassembled

Samsung had plenty to say at this year’s IFA in Berlin. This Korean tech giant has showcased a slew of devices in Berlin with the Galaxy Note 4 being the most anticipated one, of course. Other than the company’s new phablet, Samsung showcased a rather odd Galaxy Note Edge device, Tizen-powered Gear S smartwatch and the Gear VR, a virtual reality headset. Samsung finally decided to step away from plastic to some extent and introduce metal as well, which was to be expected after the company introduced the Galaxy Alpha. Galaxy Note 4 finally looks and feels like a premium smartphone thanks to the metallic trim, though I guess not everyone appreciates this move by Samsung. I however believe this is the right move by the company and am certain that the vast majority of Samsung’s consumers agree with me.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes in 2 processor variants, one variant is powered by Samsung’s very own Exynos 5433 octa-core processor while the other one carries Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 quad-core chip. The Snapdragon variant got dismantled and we already shared some details about it yesterday, this time around we’re bringing you some more images of the teardown itself which you can check out if you take a look at the gallery down below. You can see a bunch of internal components of Galaxy Note 4 as well as the IMX240 camera we’ve already reported on.

Galaxy Note 4 is sporting a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display along with 3GB of RAM for your multitasking needs and 32GB of internal storage (expandable via MicroSD card up to 128GB). This version of Samsung’s newest tablet offering is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 quad-core chip clocked at 2.7GHz which comes with an Adreno 420 GPU for graphics processing. On the back of this device, you’ll find a 16-megapixel OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) camera, while there’s a 3.7-megapixel shooter located on the front of this phablet. 3220mAh battery is also included and the device comes with Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS with Samsung’s Revolving UX on top of it. Samsung’s stylus aka S Pen is also here, of course. The device measures 153.5 x 78.6 x 8.5mm while it weighs 176 grams.
