Oppo N3 has been all over the news in the last couple of weeks. Oppo officially confirmed they’ll launch their new flagship device on October 29th and we got a ton of official and unofficial information about the device itself, will talk more about that later on. We have some new information coming straight from China, some stores in China have begun accepting pre-order for the Oppo N3 and have thus far listed its price and specifications. If you take a look below this article you’ll notice those hand written signs, which is actually completely normal, they did the same thing with the Oppo Find 7. Anyhow, these signs list Oppo N3’s specs and a 4,298 Yuan ($702), I’ll give you a moment to process that. Yeah, this is double the price of other Chinese flagships today, like IUNI U3, Meizu MX4, etc. I’ll ramble on later, let’s see what specs are listed. These listings confirm the device will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor and 3GB of RAM. 5.5-inch 1080p display is also listed as is the 16-megapixel camera (which was confirmed by Oppo already). The signs also mention something about auto moving camera, so these motorised camera rumors might actually be true, plus there’s the video that Oppo leaked.
You might notice that the listed screen size is 5.5-inch and not the 5.9-inch which has been rumored all along. As far as the rumors go, Oppo N3 will allegedly also feature a VOOC rapid charging, like the ones we’ve seen in Oppo Find 7 and some new cooling system which Oppo made for this device. I believe you’ll agree with me that this price is insane. I know we’ve been spoiled by rather affordable handsets from China lately, even flagship ones, but 4,298 Yuan for this device is just over the top. This actually makes it $50 more expensive than Google’s newest Nexus 6 phablet. I hope that somehow these signs are wrong and that this information is not correct, but I doubt that.
