Toshiba’s new convertible proves to be a winner. Meanwhile, the Nokia brand is dying and Jimmy Kimmel gives his opinion on Apple Pay.

Toshiba Satellite Radius 11: flexible form factor with a great price

Toshiba is not staying behind in the convertible laptop game. In fact, the company has just announced the Satellite Radius 11, a laptop that may just give Lenovo a run for its money.

I mention Lenovo because this convertible laptop offers a similar form factor compared to the YOGA series. It’s also not a bad device, sporting an 11.6-inch Hd screen, Windows 8.1, an Intel Pentium or Celeron processor, 4 GB of RAM and either a 32 GB SSD or a 500 GB HDD.

To top it off, the price point is a winner at only $329.99. It is launching on October 26, so stay tuned if you are interested!

Opinion: I must say I am very tempted to purchase this laptop and use it as a secondary, portable computer. The price is very enticing, and specs are pretty good for what it is. Will you be signing up for one of these?

Nokia brand to be replaced by Microsoft Lumia

Microsoft’s acquisition of Nokia was bound to bring some major changes, with the death of the Nokia brand expected to be one of the first. Microsoft is now moving on with a new brand to show, and they are keeping the Lumia moniker.

Microsoft Lumia wills tart being used by Nokia France first, with other markets to follow. We can also expect devices to drop Nokia’s name in upcoming devices.

Opinion: Don’t forget Nokia still exists. It’s only the phone department that was acquired by Microsoft, which makes this name change the best choice for separation. I will miss the Nokia logos, though.

Jimmy Kimmel on Apple Pay

Jimmy Kimmel is known for making fun of new technology, disregarding it as useless or gimmicky. Today he is back with some sarcastic commentary on Apple Pay. It’s hillarious, to say the least.

He goes on to talk about the challenges mobile payments may face, albeit in a funny way. Grab your popcorn and give the video a good watch.

Opinion: These shows tend to see most new technology as useless, but I believe it’s mostly about having fun. In reality, many of these technologies prove to be more helpful than Jimmy Kimmel may predict.
