News: Apple addresses iCloud attack, Google acquires Firebase, Oppo teases its N3 camera

iCloud

Apple has addressed the iCloud attack attempts. Meanwhile Google acquires yet another company and Oppo teases its awesome camera.

Apple addresses iCloud attacks

While Apple is making no mention of the attempted Chinese attacks on iCloud, the company has released some new support documents that tell users how to stay more secure.

The key here is paying attention to browser warnings. When using Safari, Chrome or Firefox, a warning let’s you know which sites are protected by a digital certificate. In their post, Apple explains how to identify safe and unsafe sites.

Opinion: Phishing websites are a trend nowadays. Malicious users will fool you into giving them your log in credentials by creating a fake “official” website, which is why it’s important that you know these details.

Google acquires Firebase

Google’s extensive list of acquires companies has just grown. With the purchase of Firebase, Google aims to strengthen its Cloud Platform team with new talent and resources that will make life fore developers much easier.

Firebase focuses on building tools to help developers make web and mobile apps that sync in real time. Firebase users will soon start seeing improvements, while Google Cloud Platform developers will have an easier time taking care of work.

Opinion: Specific details are not available yet, but we do know Google will be showing us more about these changes on November 4th at the Cloud Platform Live event.

Oppo N3 camera teaser shows outstanding optics

We are only about a week away from the Oppo N3 announcement, but the company just can’t wait to get you all hyped up. As per usual, a big focus will be the camera, and that is what today’s teaser is all about.

Oppo is showing us a blown up image of the N3’s camera, showing us what is expected to be great “precision optics”. If that wasn’t enough to get you excited, the inclusion of what seems to be a fingerprint ready may do the trick.

Opinion: What will we see at next week’s launch event? Only time will tell, but Oppo’s devices are known for surprising us every single time.
