FKA twigs makes a very interesting Google Glass video
Popular producer, singer and dancer FKA twigs has released a very interesting video Google Glass fans will find very interesting. It’s definitely a dramatic interpretation of Google Glass, with the character’s unique touch of surrealism that now represents her.
The video uses parts of two of her songs – “Video Girl” and “Glass & Patron”. Give it a look and trip out with us.
Opinion: She shows up in the same video as multiple characters dancing in different styles and portraying different personalities. Google Glass is more of an accessory of the video, as opposed to being the main topic. It’s a good balance between an artist’s creativity and Google’s technical side.
Audi makes history by putting a self-driving car in a race track
Self-driving cars have so far been all about commercial use. The dream of cars simply taking us somewhere has geeks around the world going nuts, but some people have another itch. If you want to see fast, powerful cars going full speed on their own, today is your day.
Audi has made automotive history by putting a driverless car in the Hockenheim Grand Prix track and letting it speed up to 200 km per hour (149 mph). This car is a beast with 560 horsepower and Audi’s piloting systems allow it to drive with near-perfect precision and efficiency.
Opinion: Really, guys. Take a look at this video and go nuts like we did. This will never match the exciting idea of your favorite racer beating the crew, but it is a huge accomplishment for geeks.
Nexus Player available for pre-order once again (and it’s gone again)
The Nexus Player wasn’t available for a long time at the Google Play Store. It was quickly labeled as “out of inventory”, but the device was not really sold out. The issue was that it needed full FCC approval in order to be sold.
We thought the process had concluded this morning when the device went up for pre-order again. It was to ship in 3-4 weeks, but alas, now the device is gone again. It’s now showing up as “out of inventory” and we don’t know when it will be back. Or did they actually sell out this time?
Opinion: This is all a bit confusing, so I will be waiting before I place my order. Are you thinking of getting a Nexus Player?
