Album update (6.5.A.0.10) brings new list view for folders

Sony has released a new update for the Album application moving the build number from 6.4.A.0.16 to 6.5.A.0.10. The 11.8MB update brings a redesigned list view when accessing the “Camera”, “Folders” and “Faces” options from the menu. The redesign gives a greater emphasis to the thumbnail of that folder, stretching it across the screen.

Sony has also introduced a new welcome screen for its PlayMemories Online backup service. It’s a smart move as this feature was pretty much hidden before. The new welcome screen highlights the advantages of free unlimited automatic backup of your photos, which should appeal to many. The new Album update should be rolling across Sony Xperia devices right now, or you can download it below.
