[Review] IPAD MINI MOCKUP PLACED NEXT TO KINDLE AND NEXUS 7

It's finally October 2012 and if you've been waiting for more news about the rumored 7.85" iPad mini that is said to be announced this month, check out how an iPad mini mockup is compared to the Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HD. Recently, photographs of the said devices was posted on a Chinese site showing off how the rumored iPad mini is compared to its closest competitors – the Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HD. There are even photographs of the iPad mini next to an iPad and two iPhones.
The iPad mini, which measures at 13.5cm wide, 20cm tall, and 7.69mm thin with a 7.85" display running at a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels (same resolution as iPad 2), looks slightly thinner and taller than the two devices. This is not the first mockup we've seen of course, last week, there was a video showing off a mockup of a Wi-Fi only iPad mini, which if you ask me, looks rather hideous with a shiny and flimsy build.

In China (where else?), there have been some iPad mini mockups for sale for sale already, for a price of roughly USD$13.
If you want to purchase a tablet now, I'd suggest you to hold your horses and wait because the Apple event is rumored to be held on 17 October 2012; the official invitation to media should be sent out on 10 October and the product launch could fall on 26 October in places that does not include Malaysia, as usual.
Check out our source links for more pictures or hit the break to watch the video of an iPad mockup at all angles.
