You've seen 3D TVs that are smart, have bigger size, and a larger resolution, LG today announced its 2012 Cinema 3D Smart TV line-up that comes with all that and more. Featuring an upgraded 3D technology that enable a smoother and more immersive 3D viewing, along with the most extensive, yet easy-to-use, Smart TV eco, the new line-up comes with a new sexy design that is specifically made to deliver a cinematic experience for viewers – a screen that has no frame, no obstructions thanks to its slim bezel of only 1mm.

Design and technologies aside, what I find most attractive in the line-up is the new Dual Play feature that allows users to enjoy two-player gaming on the TV without having to split the screen into two. Instead, Dual Play will make use of the 3D technology so each player can enjoy a full screen view of his own progress in the game. Dual Play is only supported on game consoles with split screen function.

What the TV looks like if you don't have a pair of glasses!
As with existing 3D Smart TVs from LG, the new line-up also features film pattern retarder (FPR) technology that allows for battery-free, light-weight glasses to allow users to enjoy 3D content for hours without feeling discomfort. With the new line-up, LG is also showing off new CINEMA 3D glasses that are 20% lighter than the previous ones.
What makes the new line-up even more exciting is LG's next generation premium 3D content service called 3D World. This means that when you get the TV, apart from the TV, you'll also get to enjoy high quality 3D content be it entertainment, sports, documentary, kids, lifestyle, travel and many more. Once selected, LG's CINEMA 3D Smart TV brings the content to live in beautifully rendered 3D images.
The new line-up also features 2D to 3D conversion, 3D Depth Control that allows you to adjust the depth to your comfort, LG's 3D Sound Zooming, LG's Magic Remote that features voice control, Smart Share Plus for you to share and access content from other devices via Wi-Fi, and last but not least for the K-Pop fans, there is also a newly added K-POP Zone that features a host of music videos, video clips and music from popular K-POP artists.
