Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 3, following on the Z Flip 5G, have leaked yet again, this time in allegedly official renders. The new images, posted to Twitter by Evan Blass, showcase a refined design compared to the previous generation. Including every expected coloration from black to ivory yellow and their respective wallpapers. Lavendar and dark green colors are also included in the images.

The wallpapers, for instance, do share some commonality with those leaked earlier for the Galaxy Z Fold 3. That’s in terms of coloration. With the primary difference being in the overall shape, with the Galaxy Z Flip 3 taking a more ribbon-like aesthetic compared to the paint-splash design in that other series.

What do these renders say about the Galaxy Z Flip 3?

Now, the images do seem to highlight Samsung’s progress in bringing the design further. Starting with an apparent two-tone design for both the hinge area and cameras. With the latter featuring a black coloration and a slight difference in texture apparent in the former. But the biggest confirmations apparent in the purported official images come in the form of hardware inclusions.

Not least of all, the hinge redesign appears more closed in and seamless. And that could be an indication that previous rumors regarding up to an IP67 water and dust-resistance rating were accurate. Which would make this the first foldable from Samsung, or anybody else, to deliver protection from those.

Beyond the IP rating, the renders also seem to confirm the previously hinted-at three-camera approach for this phone. That’s with two massive sensors occupying the exterior and one sensor on the inside.

When will these designs be confirmed or rebutted?

Samsung is expected to launch the new Galazy Z Flip 3 around or shortly after August 3 and in up to four additional color variations. With both 5G and 4G models being made available at a much lower price tag than previous generations. In fact, the price ccould be as much as $500 less at between $1000 and $1100 if rumors are accurate.
