OnePlus is rolling out a new update to its OnePlus Nord 2 mid-ranger. The latest OxygenOS update has the build number 11.3.A.08 and brings camera optimizations and other system stability and performance improvements.
According to the official changelog, this update makes optimizations to the “HDR feature effect” in the Camera app. The OnePlus Nord 2 is also getting some improvements to the shooting performance. Last but not least, OnePlus is promising system stability improvements, something we see with most such software updates.
The OTA (over the air) download size of the latest update for the OnePlus Nord 2 is 248.6MB XDA reports. According to the publication, the device had also previously picked up OxygenOS 11.3.A.07 update in some regions. It was “pretty much the same as the post-launch OTA,” the report says. The new OxygenOS 11.3.A.08 now seems to bring a few minor changes or improvements.
This update is also already rolling out to users in India. The OTA rollout should expand to other parts of the world in the coming days. So if you’re holding a onePlus Nord 2 device, you can expect a new update anytime now if you haven’t already received it. You can also manually check for updates by navigating to Settings > System > System Updates on your phone. As always, this update is also released incrementally and might take a few days to reach all eligible units worldwide.
OnePlus Nord 2 is a decent mid-range smartphone that’s not available stateside
Much like the original Nord, OnePlus is not bringing its new mid-ranger to the US. But if you’re in Europe or other parts of the world, it could be a decent buy if you’re looking for a mid-range Android smartphone. Here’s a comparison of how the two OnePlus Nord models stack up against each other, just in case you’re wondering which one is better suited to your needs.
That said, OnePlus has discontinued the original Nord in some markets, like India. So you might want to check for that before making a decision. For buyers in the US, the Nord N series is your only way into OnePlus mid-rangers. There are a few of them, including the Nord N100, N200, and the Nord N10 5G.
OnePlus is flying high in the smartphone market currently, registering massive shipment growths all over the world. The company has big hopes with the Nord lineup going forward. So you can expect it to launch more models in the US in the future.
