You Can Watch Gossip Girl & Other HBO MAX Titles On Snapchat For Free

WarnerMedia and Snapchat have just entered an interesting new partnership. Where you’ll be able to watch select HBO MAX titles for free through Snapchat. HBO MAX is the first major streamer to build a Snapchat Mini.

This is beginning to roll out through the Snapchat app today.

With this new feature, HBO MAX and Snapchat are allowing users to watch a selection of content from their catalog, through shared playback, while chatting and sharing Bitmoji reactions. This new partnership is going to allow an additional avenue for people to watch shows, with others.

“People love to come together to watch their favorite HBO Max shows and talk about what’s unfolding. Our partnership with Snapchat is another step towards fulfilling that desire for human connection and providing our fans with co-viewing opportunities, while deepening their emotional relationship with the brand,” said Sarah Lyons, EVP, DTC Global Product Management, HBO Max. “We believe humans value recommendations that come from other humans, so having the opportunity for friends to suggest, and then subsequently watch content together paves the way for more meaningful discovery.”

What episodes are available on Snapchat?

Obviously, WarnerMedia is not making everything in its library available on Snapchat for free. Otherwise, there would be no reason to pay for HBO MAX. For the most part, all of the shows that are available, include the very first episode. Except for Betty which is Season 2, Episode 1.

Here are all the shows available on Snapchat: Craftopia, Euphoria, The Flight Attendant, Game of Thrones, Genera+ion, Gossip Girl (2021), Looney Tunes, Love Life, Lovecraft Country, Selena + Chef, Titans, Warrior, World of Calm, and Betty – (Season 2, Episode 1).

This is just the start of this Snapchat Mini with HBO MAX, and from the way the press release is worded, it sounds like there will be additional content added in the future. It’s a great way to check out some HBO MAX originals without paying for HBO MAX.
