US Buyers Can Finally Pick Up The Motorola Moto G100

Motorola has officially launched the Moto G100 smartphone in the US. And buyers can pick it up today for the reasonable(?) price of $500. Considering the specifications, reasonable sounds about right.

Motorola isn’t touting the Moto G100 as a top-tier device, but that doesn’t mean it’s coming in with some less than desirable hardware. It features a more than capable mobile platform and it has a pretty large display. With a great refresh rate to boot. And at $500, the Motorola G100 is right on par with other great mid-range phones in the US, like the Pixel 4a 5G.

To start, the Motorola G100 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 mobile platform. This is 5G capable. So in addition to being a fast and powerful chipset, it also enables the device to connect up to 5G networks if your wireless provider offers 5G in your area.

The Moto G100 is on sale in the US for $500

Worth noting is that the Moto G100 is currently available for $499. But that is also an introductory price and it won’t last forever. Motorola doesn’t list an end date to the sale, but as the phone has just launched it likely isn’t going up to the regular price for at least a little while.

Once the sale price does end though, the Moto G100 will cost $599. So if the phone sounds good to you now is probably the time to buy. When it comes to the rest of the specs, the Moto G100 is packing 128GB of internal storage. Which is plenty of space for most users.

It also comes unlocked, and is available in a single color called Iridescent Ocean. Motorola does make two other colors but those don’t seem to be available in the US at the moment. The screen size is 6.7-inches and it’s Full HD+ resolution, with a 90Hz refresh rate. It’s also an LCD panel.

It has 8GB of RAM and a quad camera array on the bac. Which includes a 64MP main camera sensor, in addition to a 16MP ultra wide sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a ToF sensor. On the front there’s a 16MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra wide sensor. As for the battery, it has a 5,000mAh capacity, so it should have no problem lasting you all day long and then some.

You can pick up the phone directly from Motorola right now for the $500 sale price.
