Dark Souls-inspired Tales Of Iron will release on multiple platforms this Fall, the studio’s developers have confirmed in an official press announcement.
The Dark Souls series developed by FromSoftware has inspired a huge collection of games that seek to deliver punishing and unforgiving combat. And Tales Of Iron is one of those games. Though it may be a lot different than what you might expect from a Souls-like.
It’s described as an RPG adventure, rather than an action RPG, and it doesn’t have the same kind of visual style of Dark Souls. When it comes to the graphics, everything is hand drawn. And the camera angle is side scrolling, which could introduce a unique challenge to the combat.
Tales Of Iron will officially release on September 17
Now that you’ve watched the trailer, if you’re excited for the release of this game there’s now an official release date that is set in stone.
Things could always change of course, but for the time being the planned launch will take place on September 17 of this year. Tales Of Iron is being developed by United Label, and will be available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
The cool thing about Tales Of Iron is that the world is built around animals and other creatures instead of humans. The world of the game will feature 6 unique biomes, each offering a different set of challenges to work around, as well as their own art style and backgrounds.
The game will also feature side quests in addition to main story scenarios, and it comes complete with voice acting by Doug Cockle. As for weapons and gear, it seems there’s going to be quite the collection of possibilities. So you can set up your play style with a variety of weapons and skills.
The game will be available digitally, but it will also come in a physical version. And, the physical copy comes with some special DLC gifts. Including armor, weapon, shield, and helmet skins. There will be three of each to claim. If you’re interested in picking up Tales Of Iron for yourself, follow this link to pick it up from Amazon, Best Buy, or GameStop.
