Hulu + Live TV today announced the addition of the NFL Network and Redzone. Just in time for the 2021 NFL season to kick off in a little over a month.
The NFL Network will be part of the more than 75 live TV channels that are available on Hulu + Live TV right now. This package starts at $65 per month. However, Redzone will be part of the new sports add-one package from Hulu.
NFL Network brings in studio coverage, original series, live NFL season games and even preseason games. So if you’re a big football fan, then this is a channel you’ll want to watch quite a bit.
Hulu’s new sports add-on package will be $10 per month
The new sports add-on package from Hulu + Live TV, is going to cost about $10 per month. And that is on top of what you’re already paying for the service.
It will include MAVTV Motorsports Network, Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel, TVG and TVG2 in addition to Redzone.
It actually comes in a bit cheaper than the competitors. YouTube TV has a sports package with Redzone for $11 per month, and Sling TV as well as Fubo TV also have one for $11 per month. Though all three of those do have more sports channels included, and bigger names. But the channels will vary by carrier.
This is all part of a bigger push by the NFL to get its content onto more platforms and get it into more hands. Of course, this is likely due to the fact that the NFL has seen its ratings decline over the past few years. And that could be due to cord-cutting. So bringing the NFL Network and Redzone over to more cord-cutting services like Hulu + Live TV will help with that. Additionally, this will be the first season where there are three preseason games and 17 regular season games.
