Remember Cheryl K (short for Cheryl Koh)? The bubbly Malaysian singer who sang “Money (That’s What I Want)” on the “Crazy Rich Asians” soundtrack just said yes to her Los Angeles beau Brendan Mitchell.
Brendan picked the perfect spot at Pacific Palisades where he got down on one knee to pop the question. “Omg. Did this really happen? He asked, and I said ‘What do you think?’” the 25-singer-old captioned her post.
The couple was dressed to the nines during the happy occasion – Brendan wore a suit while Cheryl looked stunning in her silver sequence dress. During the intimate gathering, the singer even dedicated Celine Dion’s “Because You Loved Me” to her soon-to-be husband. Aw…
Her engagement story even made it on the pages of Sin Chew Daily newspaper. “I told my parents back home and they got so excited they went out to buy 15 sets for themselves!” Cheryl shared after a friend and her high school teacher notified her.
Cheryl even shared a screenshot of her friend saying, “In 3 months, I’m gonna see the same Sin Chew newspaper in my Nasi Lemak wrap. That’s how you know you’ve made it. LMAO.” The friend also recalled seeing one of the previous articles on her from The Star in her Nasi Lemak wrap.

Congrats to the future Mr and Mrs Mitchell ;)
