ASUS is not a name that is popular or praised by its users for frequent software updates. Not only it is a bit slower in pushing security updates, but it it’s even slower in rolling out the latest firmware updates.
Well, ASUS is finally serving the ROG Phone 3 with the long-awaited Android 11 update. Owners of the device are finally breathing a sigh of relief after the rollout.
The frustration of ASUS ROG Phone 3 users is a legitimate feeling as the phone was launched last year in 2020. And after nearly a year, it’s picking up its first-ever firmware update, i.e. Android 11, which came out last year as well.
To recall, the ASUS ROG Phone 3 is powered by the Snapdragon 865 processor coupled with up to 16GB of RAM. Under the hood, the phone packs a 6,000 mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging.
It was launched with Android 10 out of the box and is currently being served with the Android 11 update via OTA. Surprisingly, ASUS did not make any official announcement or blog post regarding this new update.
