Exynos 2200 Tipped To Beat The Snapdragon 895

Qualcomm has making some of the best mobile chips for a long time now. Their flagship processors fuel tons of smartphones every year. The company did a great job of trumping Samsung, beating its flagship Exynos SoCs. Well, if a new tip is to be believed, the upcoming Exynos 2200 SoC may beat the Snapdragon 895.

The Exynos 2200 is expected to beat the Snapdragon 895 across the board

The Exynos 2200 is expected to become the first chip from the company to include an AMD GPU. If a tipster, TheGalox, is to be believed, the Exynos 2200 will trump the Snapdragon 895 in the SoC department, though Apple’s A15 will remain the king in that section.

When we look at the GPU on its own, the Exynos 2200 will carry the torch. It will be fueled by the A15 chip, and the Snapdragon 895, respectively. Now, all three of those processors will be immensely powerful in both CPU and GPU sections.

It is worth noting that the Exynos 2200 did surface on 3DMark’s Wild Life tech recently, and it scored 8,134 points. That’s well above what the Snapdragon 888 was able to provide, and it will allegedly be more than what the Snapdragon 895 will offer.

Just to be clear, an Exynos SoC from Samsung was never better in both CPU and GPU departments than a flagship Snapdragon processor. So, these are some big claims, and expectations.

Samsung & AMD confirmed their cooperation a while back

Samsung and AMD confirmed their cooperation during a recent Samsung developer’s conference. The Exynos 2200 will likely become official this year, but we won’t see it in a phone until next year.

The Galaxy S22 series is expected to debut that processor. It remains to be seen if Samsung will once again use both Snapdragon and Exynos SoCs in its S series flagships, or will it resort to Exynos 2200 only. Those phones are expected to arrive in Q1 next year, maybe even in January.
