Exclusive: Check Out All Four Colors Of The Galaxy S21 FE

Here is your exclusive look at all the colors that the Galaxy S21 FE will be available in.

We’ve already known from previous leaks that the Galaxy S21 FE would come in four colors: gray, light green, light violet and white. Which also means that there won’t be a black version this time around. Much like the Galaxy S20 FE that launched last year, the Galaxy S21 FE is going to be pretty colorful. But a bit conservative on the number of colors.

The Galaxy S21 FE shares the design language of the Galaxy S21, which is to be expected, given the fact that it does use the same name. But there are a few differences here. For one, the camera bump is not as thick as the rest of the Galaxy S21 series. And it is also the same color as the rest of the device. The Galaxy S21 FE will likely sport a plastic back (technically, polycarbonate) like the Galaxy S21 did.

Galaxy S21 FE will be a slightly mid-range flagship

Like the Galaxy S20 FE, the S21 FE is going to be a slightly lower-end model of the Galaxy S21 series, making it a mid-range/premium hybrid smartphone. And of course, with a cheaper price tag.

It’s rumored to sport a 6.5-inch 120Hz display, the Snapdragon 888 5G (though recent rumors point to it perhaps using Exynos instead), along with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Still a very respectable smartphone, especially if it launches at the same or a cheaper price tag than the Galaxy S20 FE launched with last year.

Galaxy S21 FE is expected to sport the same camera setup as the Galaxy S21. Which would mean two 12-megapixel cameras for the wide and ultra-wide, and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens.

It’s not cancelled, but likely won’t launch until October

Recently, we’ve heard a lot about the Galaxy S21 FE being cancelled, likely due to the ongoing global chip shortage. But that is not entirely true. The Galaxy S21 FE is set to launch later this fall, around October. Which is about the same time-frame as last year’s Galaxy S20 FE launch. So that shouldn’t come as a surprise. But the chip shortage is likely a reason for the later launch.

It is also possible that Samsung may only launch the Galaxy S21 FE in some markets, and not worldwide. Again, due to that chip shortage. But don’t expect to hear about it at Unpacked on August 11.

While many expect to see the Galaxy S21 FE arrive at Unpacked along with a bevy of other devices, that’s unlikely. Samsung is likely going to go with multiple Unpacked events, like they did last fall. With the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Tab S7, Galaxy Watch 3 all at an August event. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 at a September event and the Galaxy S20 FE at an October event in 2020. Which means we’re still about three months out from this device being made official. Of course, Samsung could change things up.
