Samsung introduced its Galaxy Buds Pro back in January this year. There were three colors available when they launched. Now, thanks to a Twitter user by the name of Snoopytech, we can expect to see white Galaxy Buds Pro down the pipeline.
There don’t seem to be any design changes to these new earbuds
Samsung released its Galaxy Buds Pro in Phantom Black, Phantom Purple, and Phantom Silver. It’s only fitting that these new ones should be called Phantom White. Other than the new color, we don’t really expect there to be any other changes to design or internals.
They retain the compact design that we see in the existing Galaxy Buds Pro. The design of the Galaxy Buds Pro is much more subtle than the Galaxy Buds Live that were released back in 2020. Those were cleverly named “Galaxy Beans.” In the renders, we see the multiple microphone array that adorns high-end buds nowadays. Also, we see the “Sound By AKG” logo on the top of the case.
Looking closely at the renders, we see that there’s a subtle difference in the shades of white. It’s not as obvious as with the Phantom Purple or Phantom Silver, but it’s visible when looking closely. It’s clear that Samsung was looking to get as close to a seamless look as possible. The same aesthetic is echoed with the case, being a constant shade of white.
Other than the leaked renders, there’s not much information to go on. Samsung hasn’t stated when we should expect to see these hit the store shelves. After the release of the original Galaxy Buds Pro earlier this year, the company released two special addition buds. There was the special Addidas edition which came in a hat-shaped case and had a green and white aesthetic. The other was a LANEIGE Neo Cushion edition. This was similar to the Phantom Purple version, only a bit brighter.
Galaxy Buds Pro specs and price
If you’re really digging the Galaxy Buds Pro, but don’t want to wait for the White Galaxy Buds Pro to launch, then you can pick up the existing colors. Since the Galaxy Buds Pro is the company’s flagship earbuds, they come with the feature that you expect from top-of-the-line buds.
Each earbud comes with three microphones, plus a Voice pickup unit. These microphones help with noise cancelation to block out the outside world. They can also push audio through to the ear when you want to listen to the world around you. THey also have IP X7 water resistance.
If you’re looking to pick these up, they’re priced at $199. Samsung will also knock the price down to $119 if you have an eligible device to trade-in.
