OnePlus Watch Cobalt Edition Invite Code Hunt Is Now Live

OnePlus last week announced that it will host an “Invite Code hunt” for the OnePlus Watch Cobalt Limited Edition on June 7th. Well, the challenge is now live on the company’s official Instagram pages in Europe, including the UK. In its announcement last week, OnePlus didn’t reveal what the challenge will consist of. The company simply said the announcement post on its forums includes a clue: “it can be obvious”. It has now gone on to detail what you have to do to win an invite code to buy the OnePlus Watch Cobalt Limited Edition.

In today’s challenge, you’ll have to look for and find the hashtag #WatchThisInvite across the company’s Instagram account. Once you’ve found it, you’ll have to take a screenshot and share it in your story tagging your regional Instagram page. OnePlus says it has put clues all over the place in its account. So pay close attention to small details.

OnePlus Watch Cobalt Limited Edition invite code hunt

OnePlus will randomly select some winners who will get invite codes to buy the OnePlus Watch Cobalt Limited Edition immediately, before everyone else. Moreover, on June 17th, the company will hide the website link to buy the special edition OnePlus Watch on its Instagram page. Users will have exactly one hour to find it if they want to purchase the watch. Remember that you will have to pay the full price of £209/€219 for the watch. Getting an invite code from the company won’t make you eligible for any discount.

This challenge is only open to residents in Europe where the OnePlus website is shipping. Participants also must be above 18 years of age. You can find the full terms and conditions here.

The OnePlus Watch Cobalt Limited Edition finally goes for sale

OnePlus announced the OnePlus Watch Cobalt Limited Edition Watch back in March, alongside the standard edition. Months later, this limited edition OnePlus Watch is finally up for sale, albeit in a weird fashion. The company seemingly wants to build some hype around the watch to grab people’s attention.

This Cobalt Edition OnePlus Watch offers the same set of specifications as the standard model. The only major difference is it comes with a Cobalt Alloy frame that you usually find only in luxury Swiss watches. Cobalt Alloy is twice as hard as stainless steel.

To compliment an ultra-strong frame, OnePlus is also offering an exceptionally scratch-resistant sapphire glass at the top. With a Mohs rating of 9, sapphire is second only to diamond in hardness.
