We have already seen the Sony F3311 model number appear previously. It was caught on the GFXBench benchmarking website with a 720p display, MediaTek 6735 chipset, 1.5GB RAM, 16MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.
The same model number has now been found circulating on an official Russian Customs report. Interestingly, the document cites the handset as the “F3311/Xperia E5”. It’s unclear how Sony will market its budget range – it would not fit comfortably under the Xperia X umbrella, which captures the mid/high end range. So we could see a new addition to the Xperia E series, but it would most likely see a limited launch biased towards developing countries.
