New Beta Marshmallow update due next week; STAMINA battery mode included

Sony Mobile has confirmed that a new update for those on Beta Marshmallow firmware will start to roll from next week. The Beta Marshmallow program is for select users of the Xperia Z2 (D6503), Z3 (D6603) and Z3 Compact (D5803). Sony says that altogether there are 1,500 fixes in this version including the much-awaited return of STAMINA mode and ULTRA STAMINA mode.

The update also includes improvements to memory handling, Wi-Fi connections and Bluetooth audio. We expect the new version to also include the latest security updates. Further information on the key improvements can be found in the changelog below. Overall, it looks like a great update, especially if Sony has managed to improve stability and battery life.
