As you probably already know, Samsung has introduced their new flagship devices during this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. This Korea-based tech giant has unveiled the long-rumored Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge devices. We’ve talked about each of these phones at length already, and as it’s usually the case with high-profile announcements, there’s plenty of news to follow weeks after the announcement itself.
Such was the case with these two phones as well, as various accessories manufacturers are releasing their products for Samsung’s all-new flagship smartphones. The latest to join that train is ‘OtterBox’, a U.S.-based company which is rather well-known. OtterBox has unveiled their tough and rugged cases for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, and there are quite a few of them for you to choose from. OtterBox is offering Defender, Symmetry, Commuter and Strada cases for the Galaxy S7, and only Symmetry and Commuter cases are available for the Galaxy S7 Edge. This company has plenty of practice manufacturing rugged cases for smartphones, they’ve actually released such cases for pretty much every Galaxy S7 predecessor. The company claims that they’ve tested each of the cases they’re selling quite extensively. They’ve spent 238 hours of testing these cases, and have put them through 24 tests in order to ensure that the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge will stay protected if they’re inside the OtterBox case. The company has introduced quite a few cases in these 4 series, and we did include a couple of examples in the gallery down below, but if you’re interested in checking out their full lineup of cases, visit the source link down below.
The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge both sport Super AMOLED QHD displays, though the Galaxy S7 ship with a somewhat smaller panel than its sibling. Both devices feature 4GB of RAM on the inside, and are available in either 32GB of 64GB of expandable internal storage. The Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 SoC fuels this handset (depending on the market), and a 12-megapixel ‘Dual Pixel’ shooter is placed on the back of Samsung’s new flagships. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed here, and the company’s TouchWiz UI is available on top of Google’s operating system.
