Sony Mobile plans to move the Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z4 Tablet straight from Android 5.0.2 Lollipop to Android 6.0 Marshmallow at some point soon. A new firmware update has been certified by the PTCRB with build number 28.0.A.8.272. Unfortunately, this is no Marshmallow certification though as it is a small bump over the existing firmware (28.0.A.8.266). We’re not sure why Sony is shortly looking to push this maintenance update, we hope it does not mean that the Android 6.0 update will take some more time before it arrives. We’ll let you know once this ‘272’ update starts to roll.
