Have you ever lost your mom in the local supermarket when you were little?
You stop to look at the vast selection of cereal and when you turn around, you realize your mom didn’t wait for you. Then, you spend the next 10 minutes or so roaming up and down the aisles of the supermarket looking for your mother- afraid to approach the information counter to announce for your mom to come pick you up out of embarrassment.
Scary wasn’t it?
One young six-year-old had a much more nerve-wrecking experience when his parents accidentally left him behind in Cameron Highlands and drove back to their home in Sungai Koyan, Pahang.
According to Bertia Harian, the forgetful couple were eating with their son at a tea house along Jalan Besar Tanah Rata here at Ringlet before heading down Cameron Highlands to their home.
For some reason unknown, the couple accidentally left their six-year-old son, Amirul Afiq Najmi Jamaluddin, at the tea house and began driving back down to their home.
A group of motorcyclists found him crying at the tea house some time later at around 6.15pm and brought the boy to the Tana Rata police station where news of his discovery spread like wildfire on WhatsApp– thanks to helpful netizens who wanted to help the young boy get reunited with his parents.
Cameron Highlands OCPD deputy superintendent Muhammed Rizal Kamarudin said Ops Kesan was immediately deployed to track down the child’s parents and all the stations in the district were informed.
Later that day, the parents found out they had left their son behind and were jolted back to their senses. They immediately made a U turn at the base of the hill and went to pick up their son from the police station.

What do you think? Maybe they left him behind on purpose to teach him a lesson for something he did wrong? Or maybe it was genuinely unintentional.
