Penta has just unveiled its latest Android-powered tablet, the T-Pad WS704DX in India. The slate is available in either blue or red hues and can be yours from today if you live in the region for just Rs. 4999 ($75). All customers who order early will receive a complimentary keyboard cover worth Rs. 999 ($15) as part of a promotional offer for a limited period.
With regards to internals, the T-Pad is an impressive entry-level device, which sports a 7-inch display, a 1.3GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable internal memory, a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 0.3-megapixel VGA front-facing shooter, 3G connectivity via dual-SIM slots and a 3,000mAh battery.
Out of the box, the tablet will run the latest build of Android 4.4 (KitKat), but is expected to receive the Android 5.0 (Lollipop) in the not-too-distant future. It’s important to note, however, that this device will not receive the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update.
