Combining this with the dedicated app, the Smart B-Trainer will measure and record eleven types of running logs: heart rate, burned calories, distance, time, speed, pace, cadence, steps, stride, running route and elevation.
The Smart B-Trainer also features intelligent music playback and real-time voice coaching. The device will measure your heart rate (the pulse is measured from the ear) and automatically select music to maximise efficiency in training. Sony uses 12-tone analysis technology that will play a song with a slower tempo if you are ahead of target and vice versa.
Two types of training plans will be offered – Basic and Premium. The Basic plan will enable you to manually set running goals for your session (time, distance, burned calories, pace and so on) or you will be able to pre-select from these-based training sessions such as “Fat burning training” or “Endurance training”.
The Premium plan is in collaboration with the MY ASICS Training Plan. It is designed by professional coaches and also provides voice instructions during training, warming up, and cooling down sessions.
The hardware contains 16Gb storage to hold approximately 3,900 songs and it is also water resistant (IPX5/IPX8). It can also double-up as a Bluetooth headset to answer calls. The Smart B-Trainer™ for Running app is available on both the Google Play Store and the iOS App Store.
