Latest Leak Of New Moto 360 Shows Design In Press Images

There have been more than a few leaks of the new Moto 360 recently with Motorola employees seemingly spotted in Chicago wearing the device. A Lenovo exec was also spotted wearing the same watch which seems to only further support that the designs being shown are quite possibly the new Android Wear device. While nothing has so far been confirmed by Motorola, rumors suggest that they may be getting ready to show off the new watch at the upcoming IFA event this week where consumers may finally get to see the device unveiled officially. If you can’t wait that long the most recent leak of what appear to be press images of the new watch have surfaced this morning.

Thanks to evleaks who has been known many times in the past for posting images and specs of devices prior to official announcements, what looks like a press image of the new Moto 360 in two variations displays that previous images seen so far of the watch seem to be legitimate. The new lugs which are attached to the watch case hold the strap in place unlike the design on the original Moto 360 model that had the strap connected to the watch by being fitted snugly behind the watch case on the bottom side of it.

The image also shows off the watch in two designs, one with the leather strap in what looks like a cognac brown and a black steel band, both of which were design options for the original model. You can also see that the button on the side of the watch has been moved up the case a little bit at more of an angle instead of sitting directly at the 15-minute mark like before. In this image and all past recent leaks it would appear that Motorola has made the change to move the button to the 10-minute mark on the watch, perhaps for a simple design change or perhaps because it feels more natural with the new placement. At this point with all of the images that have shown up, including the one which appeared in a Motorola tweet, it would be hard to deny that this is quite likely the new design. Even if this is the new design though, there are still a few unknowns, like an actual launch date, the price, and the customization options at launch. Perhaps those details will surface this week.
