We all need wrenches. No matter who you are, or where you live, there are some nuts that need tightening. But adjustable wrenches can be obnoxious, as you spin the little wheel and try to get a decent grip, and ultimately give up, bust out the pliers, and hope for the best. Craftsman, however, has decided to make it substantially easier by reinventing the wrench.
Wrenching
Craftsman’s pitch is fairly straightforward. Instead of flipping the wheel, you push a slider up and down to adjust the jaws. So just rest the wrench’s top jaw on the nut, put your thumb on the slider, lock it in, and twist some nuts.
If that’s not quite enough for you, or you’re worried that somehow the slider is less secure than that annoying little screw, don’t worry. Craftsman’s legendary warranty is still in effect, so if it breaks or otherwise fails for any reason, you can take it back and get another.
The Turn Of The Nut
Tightening nuts is one of those tasks that really, you don’t realize how annoying it is until you need to do it. And frankly, it’s about time somebody went back and rebuilt hand tools to be a bit better. Besides, wrenches aren’t expensive; even this fancy one will only set you back about $20.
