Here we go. The name sounds a bit underwhelming – like a sync feature where you use one device and continue on another. It’s a bit more than that.
Your phone can be plugged in to a mouse, keyboard and display and become a full fledged Windows 10 PC.
The thing I like is when you first connect, you see your phone on the left of the screen which can open up Windows 10 “PC” looking apps. This is cool! Imagine simply connecting to a big screen over WiFi or HDMI in a hotel room.
The processors in these devices can work two screens simultaneously – the phone still works and the PC side on the secondary screen also works.
This is really powerful. There’s been some days where I just don’t want to bring my mac cos it’s either inconvenient or too heavy. But then I regret not having a more powerful interface to do productivity things. This would be so useful. Libraries could have a table of screens instead of computers (or just easily switch the monitor to your phone instead).
This feature sadly seems to need NEW hardware.
This is an example. Look at the windows on windows button ception. Looks like current hardware?
The whole actually having a “computer” in your pocket – like full on PC capabilities reminds me of the N95/Nseries and OPK mentioning multimedia computers over and over. This one actually creates that PC experience.
