As you probably already know, Spice is an India-based smartphone manufacturer. This company is well-known in India and it mostly manufactures low and mid-range devices. Spice was actually one of the three companies which initially partnered up with Google in order to release Android One devices. The Spice Mi-498 Dream Uno was the device in question and that’s probably the most recognizable Spice device outside of India, though it’s not available outside the country. Anyhow, the company quite frequently releases smartphones and they have another one to share with us today.
Spice has announced the Stellar 519 handset, yet another mid-ranger for the Indian market. This handset is powered by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core processor which ships with an Adreno 306 GPU for graphics. This handset features a 5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480) display along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage (expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card). This is a dual-SIM device which actually offers 4G LTE connectivity. On the back of the Stellar 519 you’ll find an 8-megapixel snapper flanked by an LED flash, while there’s a 3.2-megapixel shooter located on the front side of this device. Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed here with some additions by Spice, and the 2,500mAh battery is also a part of this package.

The Spice Stellar 519 is available across India in all the major retail stores and it comes in Slate Grey and Steel Blue color options. In case you’re interested in purchasing this device, you’ll have to splash out Rs. 8,499 ($134), which makes this device really affordable. The Stellar 519 will still have to face competition from a lot of other similarly specced devices in the Indian market.
