Mlais is one of the smaller smartphone manufacturers from Asia, but this company has a huge appetite for success. We’ve talked about this Hong Kong-based company quite recently actually, they’ve teased their M4 Note handset and then announced it a couple of days after that. The M4 Note is a mid-range handset which is now available for pre-order through GearBest, in case you’re interested. This handset features a 5.5-inch 720p display, 2GB of RAM and is powered by MediaTek’s MT6732 64-bit quad-core processor. 13-megapixel camera is located on the back of it, and the device resembles the Galaxy Note 4 a whole lot, and like Samsung’s phablet it also sports the chamfered metal trim around the device.
Well, according to some new information, this company intends to release new handset sporting 3GB of RAM at the end of April. The device will reportedly be called Mlais M7 and it will be aggresively priced it seems. The company didn’t reveal many details, but they did say that the handset will be powered by MediaTek’s MT6752 octa-core processor and that it will sport 3GB of RAM. 4G LTE will also be a part of the package, and the provided image actually hints at a fingerprint scanner, even though that part is blurred out. Much like the M4 Note, this handset will sport a metal trim as well, though it looks significantly different than the aforementioned phablet. We still don’t know how much will this thing cost, but you can expect it to be more expensive than the M4 Note, though not by much.
Mlais is putting more focus on the international market lately and thus offering their devices via resellers which ship internationally. Keep in mind that this company has only a couple of devices under their belt, though I’m sure we’re going to see quite a few additional ones by the end of this year. The Mlais M7 will have plenty of competition in the Chinese market, there are quite a few affordable handsets available over there. Meizu and Xiaomi are very well-known brands which are pushing really affordable devices, and companies like JiaYu and Elephone are also offering incredibly cheap devices nowadays, though they’re somewhat less popular.
