The HTC One M9 is arguably our most beautiful phone yet, and now we’re expanding our definitions of beauty with the launch of HTC INK. The HTC INK campaign will offer limited edition M9s that feature custom-designed, body art-inspired engravings. To kick off HTC INK, we partnered with worldwide fashion icon and supermodel Jourdan Dunn and asked her to dream up this design.
Creating the Design
Jourdan collaborated with celebrity “ink-er” Cally-Jo Pothecary to come up with a design that encapsulated her feelings about a new direction in her life, her excitement over upcoming creative projects, and the opportunity to partner with us to express her personal style.
The open hand and eye symbolize the need for protection and strength while still being open and approachable in personality and style. The natural leaf elements and patterns around the outside of each visual reflect the growth in creativity that Jourdan is feeling at this time, and the sun and moon together represent balance and harmony in her character.
About Jourdan
Jourdan Dunn has had a career that consistently defies the odds. She has fearlessly championed diversity within the fashion industry, and recently won a British Vogue cover and Burberry contract. She also has a Maybelline contract, walks on the Victoria’s Secret runway, and has campaigns with CK, DKNY, Hilfiger, Balmain, YSL Beauty, and TopShop. And to top it all off, she has her own cooking show with Jay-Z’s Life+Times.
Jourdan is also an ambassador of the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, a cause close to her heart as her five-year-old son has Sickle Cell Anemia.
