If you have been following the news then you would have noted earlier that Verizon are finally now taking pre-orders for the very much overdue Google Nexus 6. At the moment, it is just pre-orders, but at least you can order with the device expected to begin shipping on March 18th. So only one more week to wait for those looking for a Verizon branded Nexus 6. That said, if you are not in the market for a Nexus 6 but are looking for a device on Verizon, then you might be interested to know that a new colored variant of the Motorola DROID Turbo is now available on Verizon too. This is the Blue Sapphire version and comes on top of the Ballistic Nylon template.
If this sounds like something you might be interested in, there here are the details. You can pick up the Motorola DROID Turbo in Blue Sapphire on a straight two-year Verizon contract. This option will mean that you are looking at a down payment of $199.99. Alternatively, if you would prefer to spread the cost, then you are looking at the Verizon Edge option which will allow you to pay off for the device over two years. This option is set at $24.99 per month. Alternatively, if you just want to but the device outright, then you are looking at $599.99.
Need a quick reminder on the specs? Well, the Motorola DROID Turbo comes with a 5.2-inch QHD AMOLED display with a 1440 x 2560 resolution (565) ppi. Inside, the Turbo comes loaded with 3GB RAM and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor (clocking at 2.7GHz). Camera-wise, the Turbo comes with a massive 21 megapixel shooter on the rear, coupled with a more modest 2 megapixel front facing option. Of course, not forgetting that one of the biggest claims of the DROID Turbo is the inclusion of Motorola’s Turbo Charge technology which suggests you can expect up to 8 hours battery life off of a fifteen minute charge. Speaking of which, the Turbo comes with a massive 3,900mAh battery. So, will you be picking up the DROID Turbo on Verizon in Blue Sapphire Ballistic Nylon? Let us know.
