It has been a busy start of the year so far, we have seen HTC, Asus and many other smartphone companies are getting ready themselves to unleashed their companies first big hit of the year in the upcoming CES 2015 which is held on January 6th.
China smartphone powerhouse Xiaomi is also prepared to release their new Redmi which is purportedly known as Redmi 1S 4G LTE.
Recently, we have spotted some leaked smartphone images which we believed to be the Redmi 1S and the new Redmi. It is rather obvious that the User Interface is indeed from MIUI ROM. So we boldly suggest this is the upcoming Redmi 1S 4G LTE which will be announced in two days time on January 4th.
From the front panel we also noticed that the capacitive buttons at the bottom had changed into the same design as the Redmi Note and Xiaomi Mi 4.
The placement of its LED flash and loudspeakers at the back has changed too as showed on the above leaked image.
Based on the information we gathered, the new Redmi weighs at 132 grams which is 26 grams lighter and its thickness is 9.2 mm which is 0.7 mm slimmer compared to the first generation Redmi 1S.
The Redmi 1S 4G LTE is purportedly equipped with a 4.7 inch 720p display which is powered by 64-bit 1.2GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. It will be mated with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of on board storage with microSD slot available.The rest of the specs includes 8 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front snapper, 2,200 mAh capacity battery, Dual SIM with 4G LTE supported.
If the earlier teaser didn't gave out the wrong information, we will be looking forward to see a wide variant of color choices which consists of Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Purple and Blue instead of the basic color Black and White.
